Angus Bristow

Angus was elected Young Liberal State President on 16th July 1999 at the age of 25. He had previously served on the Young Liberal State Executive for 3 years. In his second year as President, the first David Tonkin Memorial Dinner was held to honour the memory of former South Australian Premier David Tonkin who died in 2000. This dinner, established by Angus and John Gardner (then Young Liberal State Vice President) has become an institution within the Young Liberal Movement and the premier political dinner in the SA Liberal Party calendar.

After completing his term as President, Angus continued working as a political adviser before moving to the UK to take up a position with the British Conservative Party.
