The Young Liberal Movement is a youth political organisation designed to support the Liberal Party and develop the leaders of tomorrow. Many prominent politicians have used their skills gained in the YL's to succeed in politics, such as former Young Liberal President John Howard, but the Young Liberals provides skills and friends that are invaluable throughout life across many careers and other involvements.

In the Young Liberals, we provide many different opportunities for people to get involved in the things that they want to do. The Young Liberals offer an exciting program of political, social & development functions. We provide a diverse range of events so that all of our members may enjoy entertaining, informative and fun functions, depending on their tastes. We also offer the opportunity to network with other young people with similar interests, and meet and influence Members of Parliament.

In addition to that, your local branch holds regular meetings and functions. The Young Liberals have a distinguished history in the areas of Policy development, and ideas that begin with one person convincing their branch to support it often become Liberal Party policy. Our journal "Ad Lib" gives a forum for written expression of our members' views, and has wide readership amongst all sectors of the Liberal Party.
